Wanderfest!

Halloween is over, and we now hit a lull in events between now and Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving, all of the holiday festivities begin. If you are looking for something to do this weekend with your family, WanderFest in the Tower East District, the 31st and Cherry neighborhood, of Kansas City is a great way to spend the day! The festival highlights local businesses and organizations. You can experience live music, crafts, art, food, and drinks while you explore the area. Throughout your wandering, you can collect stamps from each location that you visit. When you are finished walking around, you can visit the Cherry Pit Collective to enter a raffle to win a big prize containing goodies from each participating organization. WanderFest happens rain or shine! The Cherry Pit Collective is a pop-up shop featuring handmade arts and crafts from local artisans like Sustainable Paper + Craft, Adri Luna Studio, Peaches Vintage Collective, Wild Whims, and many, many more. The Maker Village features woodshop tours, t-shirts to purchase, and open class registration. Over 20 local businesses and organizations will be participating. During the fest, you can enjoy demonstrations and tours not normally open to the public. You can also participate in workshops along with the opportunity to sample delicious local food and drink. There will be three different locations featuring pop-up shops with goods from craft vendors. There will be other activities like custom shirt printing, you-pick herbs and vegetables, free mini yoga sessions, and activities for children.
