Kansas City is a fun, creative community that we are incredibly proud to serve. As the holiday season kicks into high gear, there are more and more events around the city that can get you into the spirit. Today’s blog will focus on some of the events that are happening this weekend and beyond. These events include Breakfast With Santa, Whoville Holidays, Blizzard of Oz, and A Spectacular Christmas Show.
This Weekend’s Holiday Events
- Breakfast With Santa is Saturday, December 9th at 9:30 a.m. Enjoy pancakes and refreshments at the decorated Heritage Center. Make a custom ornament, listen to holiday music, and hang out with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Admission is $8 a person for anyone over the age of 3. Admission includes one photo with Santa Claus. Registration is required.
- Whoville Holidays Whos is two weekends only: Dec. 9-10 and Dec. 16-17, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Visit the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who in a Whoville home located in the center of City Market Square. Bring your camera for a holiday photo. The event is open to the public and FREE. There is a suggested donation of three canned goods for Harvesters the Community.
- Blizzard of Oz is FREE this Friday, December 8th at 6:30 p.m. Dorothy has been commissioned by Glinda the Good Witch to return to Oz and help her friends defeat the wily Jack Frost. The event includes hot chocolate with Santa in the lobby beginning an hour before the show.
- A Spectacular Christmas Show at MTH Theater at Crown Center is a show filled with spectacular musical numbers, fun stories, and a visit from Santa. The show is fun for the whole family, and children’s tickets are free with the purchase of an adult’s.
