KC Restaurant Week

Kansas City Restaurant Week officially starts today, Friday, January 12th at lunchtime. Over the past eight years, the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association has given back more than $1.75 million to various local charities through participation in Restaurant Week. You can eat at some of your favorite restaurants at a heavily discounted price all while giving back to charity. This year, 148 restaurants throughout Kansas City are included in the list. To participate, you will need to download the KC Restaurant Week app on your phone for free, or go directly to the restaurant week website to see which establishments are participating this week. The app includes a map of the participants so that you can locate the one near your home or favorite neighborhood. The app also includes a list of restaurants that cater to different dietary restrictions, so you can find the best one for you and your family. Reservations can be made online or through the app. Lunch options are $15, dinner options are $33, which include a three-course meal. With the dinner three-course meal, you will get a choice of salad or soup, an entrée, and a dessert from a special Restaurant Week menu.Ten percent of all proceeds go to charity. This year’s 2018 Restaurant Week will benefit KC Community Gardens, KC Regional Destination Development Foundation, and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. The week will start today and run through dinner on January 21st. Restaurant Week is one of the best times of the year to experience flavors that you may not be familiar with or finally try a restaurant that you have been wanting to try. It is recommended that you book early. Dining at off-times can also help to ensure that you can get a table.
