KC Fun Events This Week
Autumn has officially arrived. Kansas City, MO is a beautiful place to enjoy the fall. There are pumpkins everywhere and lots of fun events. This weekend is no exception. This week there is a festival celebrating chocolate, a festival celebrating cider, and other fun things. Fall is also a great time to take care of your smile needs, whether it is whitening your smile or getting your routine exam and cleaning, we are here for you.
This Week’s Fun Events
- MOMIX ‘Opus Cactus’ is playing at the Carlsen Center in Overland Park, KS this weekend on Saturday, September 29th. Moses Pendleton’s amazing production features dance and music to bring together the beauty of the desert. Prior to the show, enjoy a wonderful multi-course meal at Capitol Federal Suite in Regnier Center.
- The annual Kansas Chocolate Festival is going on in Topeka this weekend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th. The festival includes a morning 5K/10K, chocolate goodies from local and national vendors, live music, and chocolate competitions. There will even be chocolate beer, barbecue, and manicures and pedicures!
- The Kansas City Zoo is partnering with the Community Blood Center to host a blood drive on Friday, September 28th. Contributing to the blood drive can help save lives.
- The 40th Annual Ciderfest starts this weekend and will continue into the following weekend. Ciderfest will include live music, cider samples, craft booths, local vendors, and plenty of food or drink. The event is free to attend and free to park. There is also a huge pumpkin patch at the Ciderfest to pick out your family’s pumpkin, walk through a corn maze, or take photos.
