Once again, it’s time to discuss community events! We’re going to look at four fun events taking place in Kansas City in February. From celebrations to basketball championship games, there is so much for your family to enjoy. Community Events
- First Fridays: The first Friday of every month, you can enjoy an incredible celebration in the Crossroads Art District. Just south of Downtown Kansas City, you will enjoy pop-up parties, food trucks, craft beers, art galleries, and a number of unique and fun vendors. Participants also enjoy live entertainment, such as musical performances and dance. A monthly celebration worth checking out!
- Mardi Gras: The Kansas City Power and Light District will be hosting Mardi Gras events on Saturday, March 2nd, so be ready to celebrate and enjoy bar crawls, parades, and more!
- Big 12Men’s Basketball Championship: The 2019 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship will take place from March 13th through the 16th. In addition to the big game, there will also be parties, contest, team rallies, watch parties, and giveaways! You can also start things off by participating in the Big 12 Run! Enjoy an incredible weekend and see the best Kansas City has to offer.
- First Weekends in West Bottoms: While the First Friday at the Crossroads Art District lasts one day, the First Weekends in West Bottoms last all weekend. One of the largest vintage and antique markets in the United States, you can find plenty of unique and amazing items from a variety of vendors. Located west of Downtown Kansas City, you can shop, enjoy great food, and visit some fun coffee shops. Find something fun this weekend!
