Community Events

  1. Kiss & Tail: The Kansas City Zoo will be hosting a special Valentine’s event on love in the animal kingdom on Saturday, February 9th at 6:30pm. For adults only, tickets are $40 FOTZ members, $50 for everyone else. There will be refreshments, a comedic performance, and more. The zoo is located at 6800 Zoo Drive.
  2. Mack The Knife Is The Man I Love: The Lyric Opera of Kansas City will be presenting Mack The Knife Is The Man I Love on Saturday, February 9th at 7:30pm. The show will take place at 712 East 18th Street. Tickets are $30 and include a reception immediately following the performance. The cabaret performance will feature songs by George and Ira Gershwin and Kurt Weill. Remember, this is a one night only event!
  3. Harlem Globetrotters: The Harlem Globetrotters will be making a stop in Kansas City on their 2019 World Tour. You can see them at the Sprint Center (1407 Grand Blvd.) on Saturday, February 9th from 7pm until 9:30pm. A great show for the entire family!
  4. Evita: The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts will be presenting Evita on February 8th at 6:30pm. The show will take place at 1601 Broadway. The musical follows the rise of Eva Peron, the iconic first lady or Argentina. A classic that has been beloved for over 40 years!
