What’s Happening in Kansas City?
- The groundbreaking exhibition Through the Eyes of Picasso explores Pablo Picasso’s passion for African and Oceanic art. The exhibition will unite his paintings and sculpture with art that had a seminal impact on his own creative exploration. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City will host the only United States venue during a limited world tour. Many works in the exhibition will be on view in America for the first and possibly only time.
- This weekend from February 23rd to 25th at the American Royal Center is the Western Farm Show. The show is the midwest’s biggest indoor farm show with hundreds of exhibitors, acres of things to see and do, and the latest in farm and ranch technology.
- Kansas City’s future stars will perform in the Symphony’s 2018 Woman’s City Club Charitable Foundation Young Artist Competition finals. Young musicians will compete on stage in Helzberg Hall for the opportunity to perform with the Kansas City Symphony. The preliminary round takes place on Saturday, February 3 at the Bell Cultural Events Center at Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, and is open to students ages 13-18.
