With just under a few weeks until Thanksgiving, it feels like holiday season has already begun. In Kansas City, MO this weekend, there are lots of holiday events that are kicking off the season. Weekend Events
- All locations of the Family Tree Nursery are having their most popular holiday event, Ladies Night. On Friday, November 9th from 9am-8pm, there will be music, wine, and food. There will also be a discount for 20% off.
- The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is playing at Peters Theatre in Brown Hall at William Jewell College this weekend only. This musical version of a classic tale revolves around a family of kids trying to crash the Christmas Pageant. It is funny and touching and a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. There are showings on Friday, Saturday, and one matinee on Sunday.
- Kansas City’s favorite neighborhood and the historic Brookside shops kick off the holiday shopping season of 2018 this weekend. There will be live music, drinks, food, photo opportunities, discounts, and giveaways by participating shops.
- This Monday is Veterans Day, and to honor that, the National WWI Museum and Memorial& will be holding Armistice commemoration events and activities throughout the entire weekend. Many of the events, activities, and exhibits will be free to the public. Admission to the museum is free to veterans and active military.
