This Weekend in Kansas City
- Jerry Seinfeld will be in town tonight, Friday, January 19th at 9:30 p.m. at the Arvest Bank Theater.Jerry Seinfeld is an entertainment icon with a comedy career that erupted after his first appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1981. Eight years following that appearance, he teamed up with fellow comedian Larry David to create one of the most successful comedy series in the history of television: Seinfeld. Jerry Seinfeld has also starred in, written and produced movies like Bee Movie. His critically-acclaimed web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, has just been released on Netflix.
- Ladies Night is taking place at Lancing Middle School on Saturday, January 20th at 4:00 p.m.The event is filled with food, shopping, and friends all while benefitting the Leavenworth County Alliance Against Family Violence. Ladies Night features over 60 vendors selling a large selection of merchandise, art, and food. There will also be a fashion show, silent auction, door prizes, giveaways, DJ, and a lot more.
- 2 Cellos will take place on Sunday, January 21st at 7:00 p.m. at the Sprint Center. 2Cellos is made up of two young Croatian cellists, Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser. The two together have achieved international success by taking the cello to new heights with their incredible talent and fiery passion for music. Their playing style has run past the boundaries between different genres of music ranging from classical and film music to pop and rock. They have no limits when it comes to performing live and the show is equally as impressive when the two are playing Bach and Vivaldi as they are when rocking out classic bands’ music from AC/DC and Iron Maiden.
