Upcoming Community Events

  1. The Beauty of the Game: Enjoy The Beauty of the Game exbibit at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum on 1616 East 18th Street from now through July 9th. The exhibit tells the story of Effa Manley, who co-owned the Newark Eagles with her husband and took over operations following her husband’s death. Effa Manley was the first woman nominated and inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.
  2. Abstracted Wonders: Enjoy an exhibit on the use of lines in abstract art at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art on 4420 Warwick Blvd now through June 2nd. See selected works from the Kemper Museum’s Permanent Collection.
  3. Napoleon: Power and Splendor: Enjoy a unique exhibit that explores the daily life of Napoleon’s imperial court. The exhibit last from now through March 10th at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in the Country Club Plaza Area (4525 Oak Street). Some of the works featured have never been seen in North America, and show a glimpse of life in the French court from 1799 until 1814.
  4. 2019 Western Farm Show: The 2019 Western Farm Show will be occurring weekly on Sunday from 9am until 4pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9am until 5pm. The event will take place at the American Royal Center on 1800 Genessee Street. One of the biggest indoor farm shows in the country, the Western Farm Show features hundreds of exhibits, the latest in farming technology, and plenty to see and do!
