A KC Halloween

October 22, 2018

Halloween night is still not for another week or so, but most of the fun activities happen on the nights leading up to Halloween. This week is overflowing with fun activities for kids, adults, and the whole family to do in Kansas City, MO. If you and the family go to town on the tricks and treats, be sure to schedule a dental cleaning and exam soon

Halloween Things to Do

  1. Union Station is hosting Science City’s sixth annual Spookfest: Night at the Museum this weekend! The family-friendly event will feature spooky science demonstrations, interactive experiments, eerie edibles, a stage show, and costume contest. Costumes should be family friendly and not feature any realistic weaponry or gore.
  2. Lee’s Summit, MO is hosting the Boos, Barks, and Badges Parade this Saturday morning. Families are encouraged to join the parade wearing their favorite costumes along with their pets and their costumes. Right after the parade, there will be trick-or-treating around the square for the children.
  3. While not necessarily a Halloween event, it does only happen this weekend: the Christian Youth Theater of Kansas City is presenting Disney’s Tarzan on stage. The musical is based on the Disney animated feature film of the same name.
  4. Kansas City Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo will end this weekend! Kids can wear costumes and trick-or-treat throughout the zoo. Some of your favorite animals will be smashing pumpkins in their exhibits throughout the weekend at scheduled times. Members of Friends of the Zoo will gain private trick-or-treating access an hour before the zoo is opened to the general public.
